I hope you enjoy your first remix,
aharesbreath!
When I first saw this summary-less piece over on AO3, I thought it would be a great chance to draw BAMF!Merlin riding a pimped out, BAMF, druidic war reindeer or something. But then I remembered seeing the piece during the Art-Fest Advent Calendar, and there it had a summary in which Arthur was gazing out of the window, restless, waiting for Merlin to return home. I thought, hmm, was Merlin expected back sooner? What could be holding him up? Is Arthur worried? And so this piece happened, with Merlin solo-questing and getting in over his head.
I also picked this one because you seemed to lament running out of time and how the northern lights turned out in the original. It’s a fantastic concept!
Big thanks to my trusty betas
altocello and
alby_mangroves!! Fun fact: the PSD file for this ended up 166MB, LOL!
